My name is Taylor Wright and I am so excited to teach preschool at Our Lady of Perpetual Help! I am a first year teacher, but have worked in childcare for 6+ years throughout highschool and college. Preschool is my absolute favorite age to teach because you get to see their growth over the longest period of time.I currently hold a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and I am in my Masters program for the Science of Reading.
My biggest focus while teaching preschool is fine motor skills and social skills. I want every child who comes through my door to love school and think learning is fun, because it is! My classroom is very play based with a lot of free play! We do have about an hour of structured learning/play a day, and the rest of our day is free play where we practice how to communicate in a kind and caring way.
In my free time, I usually go walking with friends, read a lot of books, or do something outside!
I love being a part of the OLPH team!!
