Hello! My name is Melissa Warren.  I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding areas before moving to Sellersburg 4 years ago.  I earned my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Spalding University (2005) and a Masters of Education with an emphasis in Reading and Literacy from The University of the Cumberlands (2013).  I was married to my late husband for 14 years before he passed away 5 years ago.  Together, we have two beautiful daughters.  Mallory is in 8th grade at Community Montessori and Madilyn is in 3rd grade at Our Lady.

It is an honor to be a part of the amazing Our Lady family.  I was Director of Childcare Ministry last year before joyfully accepting the role as the new Pre-K teacher.  Prior joining this wonderful community, I taught in the Kentucky public school system for 13 years.  I taught Kindergarten, First and Third grades.  I stepped away from teaching for 3 years after the loss of my husband.  The desire to return to the classroom was always within and I wholeheartedly believe that the Lord led me to Our Lady.

I am proud to be part of a faith based, family-oriented community.  My days are filled with smiles, laughter and the best hugs from our littlest Crusaders!  Our students thrive academically and shape a spiritual connection. It is inspiring to watch our school grow and witness the positive impact our students will have in the world.  I look forward to many more wonderful years at Our Lady!
