I am so excited to be teaching at Our Lady of Perpetual Help!  As a parent and parishioner of Our Lady, I know what a wonderful education the students of this school receive.  I am very honored to be part of that experience. The junior high years are crazy, but I genuinely enjoy being part of it.

I am also a wife, mother, and grandmother. I just celebrated my 13th anniversary with Todd Read. My daughters, Stella and Penny, have been attending Our Lady since preschool and are in 7th and 5th grade. I also have an older daughter, Deborah and 2 grandsons. Many of you may know my mother-in-law, Carol Read. She taught here for over 40 years, and she is thrilled to have me here. Our Lady is obviously important to my family, and it is a wonderful feeling to be a faculty member.

My name is Kristina Bauerla. This is my 8th year teaching math. I was born and raised in southern Indiana/Louisville with my blended family of 5 brothers and sisters. I graduated from Floyd Central in 2007 and then attended Indiana University Southeast where I graduated with a bachelor's in Education with my content area in Math. I am currently working on my Masters degree in Special Education.

I met my husband, Steven, in 2009 and we married in 2013. We have two beautiful boys. Levi who will be five in September and attends Pre-k at Our Lady and Colton who will be three in February. We are parishioners at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. In my free time I enjoy spending every moment with my family!

I am so blessed to teach at Our Lady and I love continuing to get to know my students and the OLPH community.

I look forward to another fun and exciting school year!
