Hello, my name is Peggy Snook. I am a graduate of Indiana University with both a bachelor and a master’s degree in elementary education. I have 33 years teaching experience having taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th grades. I am a resident of Floyds Knobs and a graduate of Floyd Central.
I am a member of the parish as well as being a teacher here. I have received many blessings over the years including the opportunity to share my faith with the children in a loving, family oriented atmosphere.
The curriculum is based on the common core and state standards. The second grade year is an exciting one. The children become closer to God by receiving the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Eucharist. The children become more confident readers as they begin to read chapter books. They look forward to learning cursive writing beginning in January.
My husband, Bob and I have raised two children, both who attended Our Lady. I read and bake in my spare time. I am known as "The Bread Lady" in Floyds Knobs, having baked and sold breads at the Farmers Market during the summer.
